SHARRON ANDERSON (she/her/hers) is an Austin native-returned-home after living in NY, where she worked as an actor and casting director. She's appeared in 100+ theatre productions across the NE and SW and holds a BA & MFA from UT Austin, where she taught Acting, Voice/Speech, and designed an acting class for Opera majors. Sharron co-founded Lysistrata Project, the first worldwide theatrical peace event, during which Aristophanes' anti-war comedy was read in 1,029 locations in 52 countries and in every U.S. state on a single day in 2003. She’s set down roots here as wife to Byron and mom to Gus, Sparky (people), Cheesecake, Betty, and Twig (dogs). Sharron co-founded ATX Theatre in 2020 and was on the creative blueprint team in 2021 and manages the daily operations of the organization. She dedicates herself to this work to give back — the theatre community in Austin raised her to be curious, brave, playful, and open-minded even though she was scheduled to be the opposite of all those things. Sharron believes theatre can change trajectories, and every child deserves to have access to theatre — even grown-up children. Member: Actor's Equity Assoc. & SAG-AFTRA.
